Introduction to the Center

Laser science, as one of the modern advancements in today’s world, has garnered significant attention in dentistry due to its high capabilities. In line with this, and with the aim of enhancing knowledge and improving services to society, the Dental Laser Research Center of Tehran University of Medical Sciences was established on 27 June 2009 (6 Tir 1388) and received formal approval on 13 November 2012 (23 Aban 1391).

Following its establishment, the center actively worked to showcase the capabilities of laser technology, provide a platform for faculty members to engage in research activities, and encourage and recruit researchers for collaboration. Equipped with various types of laser devices and backed by extensive experience in implementing numerous research projects, the center has also organized academic (Fellowship and PhD) and skill-based professional laser training programs with certification approved by the Ministry of Health.

The center is committed to encouraging and utilizing the expertise of enthusiasts and specialists in laser science to conduct comprehensive research, striving to become one of the leading research centers in the field of dentistry.
