Below are highlights of the research projects conducted by the center in 2023 (1402):

1️⃣ Investigation of the antimicrobial effects of photodynamic therapy using varying concentrations of the photosensitizer phycocyanin on reducing Streptococcus mutans.

2️⃣ Characterization, health assessment, and the impact of photodynamic therapy on biofilm formation of Streptococcus mutans utilizing zinc hydroxychloride nanosheets: in vivo and in vitro studies.

3️⃣ Evaluation of the combined effects of the drug 5-Azacitidine and photodynamic therapy with Spirulina platensis on cell death in CAL-27 oral squamous cell carcinoma cells.

4️⃣ Simultaneous application of nanosilver fluoride and LED irradiation: assessment of antimicrobial activity against Streptococcus mutans and cytotoxicity on dental pulp-derived cells.
