Selected Research Topics of the Center in 2022 (1401)

Below are highlights of the research projects conducted by the center in 2022 (1401):

1️⃣ Investigation of the effects of hydrogen peroxide-based photodynamic therapy on biofilm production and metabolic activity of Enterococcus faecalis.

2️⃣ Evaluation of the impact of photodynamic therapy with various photosensitizers and cleansing agents on the color changes of dental restorations: accelerated aging effect assessment.

3️⃣ Study of the synergistic effect of hydrogen peroxide in antimicrobial photodynamic therapy with indocyanine green and toluidine blue on Staphylococcus aureus, Escherichia coli, and Candida albicans biofilms formed on dental implants.

4️⃣ Investigation of the effect of Er:YAG laser pulse duration on shear bond strength of porcelain layering on zirconia substrates.

5️⃣ Evaluation of the antimicrobial effects of the SWEEPS technique compared to photodynamic therapy using riboflavin and blue laser on Enterococcus faecalis biofilm present in extracted human root canal teeth.
